Jewelry of the Afro-Future

The Walters Art Museum presents Douriean Fletcher: Jewelry of the AfroFuture from April 18 to August 9, 2026. Her work, seen in Coming to America, Black Panther and Wakanda Forever, explores Black identity and visual storytelling. I’m excited to share that I’ve been selected to curate a special collection by Amorous Designs, available at the Walters Art Museum Store during this exhibition. Amorous Designs explores themes of Afro‑futurism, Afro‑esotericism and body adornment as ritual, with pieces ranging from wire‑wrapped jewelry, head pieces, candles a host of other offerings. ✨
